An ample strand of Ghanaian aqua recycled glass beads meets a matte, sterling pendant that's inspired by the distinctive style of Ethiopian crosses. Ethiopian Christians were required by a 15th century decree to wear a cross around the neck. This six-pointed star is etched with vibrant design. Matching earrings and bracelet have three ocean tones of traditional recycled glass beads that have been made in Ghana since at least the beginning of the 20th century.

Based on classic Neopolitan designs, these granulated hook earrings pair Indian stone cutting and Chinese stone-setting with startlingly beautiful results. These earrings were created from a combination of several distinct processes. Stone-cutting and stone-setting are just two of them. Granulation, the process by which a metal smith creates a grain patterns with a hammer is a painstaking technique that requires years of experience.
